Letter from the CKCSC

Dear Web Site Visitor,

Welcome to the Web Site of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, U. S. A. We are the original Registry for Cavaliers in the USA, established in 1954. Our Web Site is intended to offer a great deal of varied information to members, browsers, and anyone with an interest in our lovely dogs.

If you are looking for a Cavalier, you will find the dates of many different events, from Championship shows to fun matches where you can meet breeders, see from a hundred to several hundred Cavaliers, and ask questions of expert breeders and exhibitors. There is a list of member breeders along with invaluable information about what to look for in a new puppy, questions to ask, and how to get your puppy off to the best possible start.

If you are already a Cavalier owner, you will find answers to many frequently asked questions, a complete set of all Club forms involving breeding, registration of litters, and transferring puppies, which you can download from this site. Also available are entry forms for Club shows and matches.

We encourage those of you who haven¹t already gotten their own Cavalier to join the CKCSC as Associate Members, as they receive four Bulletins (the Club¹s magazine) a year containing details about all events, with show reports and critiques as well as letters and articles by members. Finally, members receive a Yearbook filled with photos and information about Cavaliers all over the world. An Associate Member is entitled to all privileges of a Regular member except the right to vote. If you are an owner of a CKCSC, U.S.A. registered Cavalier, we invite you to become a Regular member which accords all Club privileges.

The Cavalier is one of the most delightful, affectionate and beautiful dogs in the world. It is a pleasure to welcome you to our group of Cavalier lovers, and we hope this Web Site will become an enjoyable and consistent source of information for people new to the breed as well as for Club members.

Sincerely,

Betty Deemer, Past CKCSC President
