Conformation Show Rules Changes
|I. Owners/Exhibitors – 5: Trophies not returned to the Trophy Chair by the start time published in the show premium are considered late and subject to the stated fines and penalties.|
|I. Owners/Exhibitors – 10: Offspring of sires and dams bred by or owned by the Judge within the last 2 years are no longer prohibited from showing to that Judge as long as the offspring is not or has not been in the ownership of the Judge.
IV. Judges – 2: Allows a Performance Trial judge to enter any Performance trial during the weekend except the one they are judging.
|2/15/16||I. Owners/Exhibitors -18: Members sharing private transportation with judges during the weekend are no longer prohibited from showing to them.|
I. Owners/Exhibitors -21: Allows a refund for an in-season bitch regardless of the eligibility of the bitch to show.
II. Dogs -3: Allows in-season bitches to show in all conformation competitions during the National Specialty and Puppy of the Year weekends.

|3/13/14||I. Owners/Exhibitors – 10: No dog may be shown to a judge who has owned or co-owned the sire or dam of the exhibit within the past 2 years.|
I. Owners/Exhibitors – 18: (inserted new rule) The judge and the exhibitor may not be overnight guests in each other’s homes or share a hotel room for a period of 6 months before or 30 days after the judge’s CKCSC-USA assignment. An exhibitor may not show to a judge with whom s/he has sold, purchased, or co-owned a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 6 months prior to the judging assignment or with whom s/he has shared any form of private transportation to or from the show on the weekend of the judge’s assignment.
IV. Judges – 4: Judges should review Section I. Owners/Exhibitors regarding contact with exhibitors.
Definition of Classes: Changed Novice class definition to exclude dogs that have won points at a CKCSC show, or a major win, or holding a championship in any registry. Updates Final and Special Awards. Adds Puppy Sweepstakes.
Definition of Classes: Added Awards of Merit to Special Awards.
I. Owners/Exhibitors – 5: Any trophy that is not returned by the day of the show for which it is awarded is still considered an automatic indebtedness, but the owner will be allowed to show that weekend upon payment of a $250 penalty. After that, the owner may not show any dogs or conduct business with the club until the trophy is returned. For every 30 days the trophy is not returned to the offering club, another $250 will be assessed.
I. Owners/Exhibitors – 10: No dog may be entered under a Judge who has exhibited it in any manner within the last 12 months.
Definition of Classes: Changes Bred By Exhibitor definition of breeder to the owner of the dam at the time of whelping.
II. Dogs – 3: A puppy bitch that exhibits in the Puppy of the Year competition and is in-season the day of that competition may exhibit in the conformation shows that weekend.
Definition of Classes: Changes the order of judging. All dog classes, including puppies, are judged first, followed by all bitch classes, including puppies. Best Puppy competitions are judged after Reserve Best In Show. Refer to the Definition of Classes – Final and Special Awards for details
Definition of Classes: Offers the Senior Open class at all regional shows in addition to National shows. Refer to the Definition of Classes for eligibility criteria.
II. Dogs – 1: If you need to enter a dog using its Foreign Registry Number, you must submit a Supplemental Entry Form in addition to the proof of foreign registration with your entry. The Supplemental Entry Form can be downloaded from the club’s website, www.ckcsc.org.
II. Dogs – 1, 2: If you are in the process of registering a litter with the CKCSC, USA and have a completed AKC registration, you may show the dog using its Foreign Registry (AKC) number.

|11/15/15||Definition of Classes: (Effective with the CMW February 2016 Show) Corrected the Obedience Novice B class definition specification of how long a dog may compete in that class after earning a Companion Dog title to reference the CKCSC-USA CD title instead of the AKC CD.|
|8/20/15||Definition of Classes: (Effective with the CKCSC-USA October 2015 Show) Updated the Obedience and Rally Novice A class definitions to 1) reflect that the handler must be the owner or a member of the owner’s immediate family and may enter one or more dogs in the class and 2) prevent entry of the same dog in both Novice A and Novice B at any trial.|

Obedience 1, 3, 6, & 8: Offers Optional Titles.
