On August 10th, 2007, the CKCSC-USA board of directors approved an agility titling program. This program will allow cavaliers registered with the club to exhibit and earn Agility titles based upon the requirements specified below. Starting January 1st, 2007, the club will start offering agility trials which may or may not be in conjunction with a conformation trial.

To help offset the cost of hosting an agility trial, the board has confirmed that these trials can also offer an all-breed limited entry agility match. At the moment, I am researching several locations where we could host a trial. These locations are agility training facilities that have all the agility equipment on site. If you know of a facility in your area, please provide me with the facility’s contact information. Also, if you would like to donate to the general agility fund which will also help to offset the cost of these trials, it will be greatly appreciated.

It is my hope and the hope of the national board that all cavalier agility enthusiast will help to make this program work. It will take all of us to get the word out and make this happen. If you know of cavalier agility exhibitors, please make sure they know about this new titling program. To participate, a cavalier must be registered with this club as well as the handler being a member. Registered Performance Event Numbers (PEN) is acceptable for all performance events (obedience, rally and agility) in the club.

Below are the specifics of the CKCSC-USA Agility Titling program. Please review it carefully. One major aspect of the program is that if a cavalier has a equivalent title in another registry, they may start at that level in the CKCSC-USA Agility program. For example, if your cavalier has an AKC AX title, they should start exhibiting in the Standard Excellent A class. This is the handler’s choice, if the handler feels they want to step down and start in Open that is their choice. This will allow the more experience cavaliers to start exhibiting in the level they are trained for and compete against cavaliers with the same level of experience. Once the cavalier earns the title, it will be assumed that they have earned all the lower level titles.

SO LET’S GO EVERYONE, LET’S GET TOGETHER AND “MACH” IT HAPPEN!!!!
