Fun Match Rules

(The term “Dog” applies to both sexes unless otherwise specified.)

  1. Where applicable, the CKCSC, USA “Procedure for Registration and Transfer of Dogs” and “Show Rules” will be followed.
  2. CKCSC, USA, Members can show any Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 5 months old and older that is registered with the CKCSC, USA; has a Performance Event Number (PEN); or is ineligible for registration with the CKCSC, USA. Any non-member is welcome to enter their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
  3. No in-season bitch shall be permitted on the match grounds on the day(s) of the Fun Match.
  4. No dog may be entered under a Judge by whom it was bred or to whom it currently or has previously belonged, including co-ownerships.
  5. Trimmed dogs can be shown at a Fun Match.
  6. No Championship Points shall be earned at Fun Matches.
  7. Champions, Junior Warrants, and Major Pointed Cavaliers in any registry are not eligible to compete for Best In Match award.
  8. An additional, non-official conformation class, Special Limit Exhibit, shall be offered at Fun Matches and is limited to Champions, Junior Warrants, and Major Pointed Cavaliers in any recognized registry. The class is divided by sex and class placements are awarded. Best Special Limit Exhibit is not awarded. Class winners will not compete for Best In Match.
  9. All official and unofficial classes will be offered, except Health and Conformation and Senior Open. Winners of the Veteran classes may compete for Best In Match in addition to Best Veteran In Show.
  10. Obedience, Rally, and Agility classes, if offered, shall not require a qualifying score for the awarding of placements and prizes. All placements made from non-qualifying dogs will be based on the score only. All classes need not be divided into Open A and Open B. If the A/B classes are not combined, dogs holding titles of the class they are exhibiting in must show “For Exhibition Only” and will not be eligible for placements or awards. Obedience, Rally, and Agility classes at Fun Matches will not count toward the CKCSC, USA Annual Performance Awards.
